Meg is happy to be back in her hometown of Indianapolis after spending nearly a decade in Washington, D.C., where she earned her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School. In law school, Meg spent her third year representing clients appealing their convictions at GW’s criminal appeals and postconviction services clinic. Meg also volunteered with Street Law at the Youth Services Center and with the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project and interned for public defender offices in Chicago, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. After graduation, Meg clerked for The Honorable Maribeth Raffinan, Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Upon returning to Indianapolis, Meg practiced at the Marion County Public Defender Agency in the Family Preservation Division, focusing on representing parents in CHINS and TPR cases. Providing high-level legal representation in a high-volume agency allowed Meg to gain extensive experience handling DCS cases and working with families.
