Ms. Miller is an associate attorney at Emswiller, Williams, Noland & Clarke where she focuses her practice in family law. Alexandra is an Indiana native and a proud Hoosier. She grew up in Westfield, Indiana where she graduated from Westfield High School as a 12-year senior. She later attended Indiana University-Bloomington where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in criminal justice, and minoring in biology and psychology. Ms. Miller subsequently earned her Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Alexandra was first exposed to family law when she participated in a legal internship program at a family law office prior to her senior year at IU-Bloomington. After witnessing firsthand the difference family law attorneys can make in the lives of children, parents, and families, Alexandra has focused her time and geared her energy specifically towards family law.

During her tenure in law school, Alexandra worked as a legal research assistant to Professor Margaret Ryznar by contributing to and helping run IU McKinney’s Family Law Blog. Additionally, Ms. Miller served as Vice President of the Family Law Society at IU McKinney, and participated in McKinney’s Mentor Program. Alexandra also served as a legal extern for two Marion County judges where she worked on and was exposed to both civil and criminal jury trials. In her final year of law school, Ms. Miller participated in IU McKinney’s Civil Practice Clinic, where she drafted pleadings and represented indigent clients in civil matters such as expungements, divorce, and protective orders with attorney supervision.

Since graduating from law school, Ms. Miller has dedicated her legal practice to working in matters concerning dissolution, modifications of child support, child custody and parenting time, representation of children as a guardian ad litem, step-parent adoptions, and guardianships. Alexandra feels she has found her true calling by helping parents, children, and families move forward despite difficult circumstances.  Ms. Miller understands that the legal and judicial process can be scary, confusing, and defeating for most people, which is why she strives to provide honest, straightforward, and loyal representation to all of her clients while advocating tirelessly for their best interests.

Ms. Miller volunteers her time as a Guardian Ad Litem through Kids’ Voice of Indiana, where she represents children in courts across central Indiana and passionately advocates for their best interests while simultaneously seeking to shield them from personally participating in the legal process.

In her free time, Alexandra enjoys running on the Monon Trail, riding her Peloton bike, cheering on Michigan Football, playing with her dog, Harleigh and her kitten, Maize, and attending concerts with her two younger siblings and parents.
