Appellate Practice
When a court makes a legal error or abuses its discretion, clients have the opportunity to appeal the decision. However, this right must be asserted quickly as, generally, the time limit is only thirty (30) days from the order.

We initiate and defend appeals in the areas of family law, adoptions, CHINS / DCS matters, and TPR matters. Through persuasive written and oral advocacy skills, we present effective appeals to the Court of Appeals. We use our trial practice skills and knowledge of the rules of evidence and current case law to advance our clients’ positions in trial and in our appellate practice.
